Get Savvy: Grow Your Green Stuff Webinar Series

I've been coordinating the Get Savvy: Grow Your Green Stuff webinar series with financial educators across the state of Illinois since 2013. The series is free and open to the public with new topics added to the schedule each academic year.

You can watch previously recorded webinars on University of Illinois' Student Money Management Center's YouTube channel or website.

Making Cents of Money Podcast

I co-host a podcast with Nikki Giancola-Shanks and Jake Hamilton from the Illinois Division of Financial & Professional Regulation, called Making Cents of Money. The goal of the podcast is to educate consumers across the state on a wide variety of topics, and we focus many of the topics on what issues and regulations may be unique to the state of Illinois.

PhD Student

Although I work full-time, I am also pursuing a PhD at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which involves completing many additional projects.

My research explores how visual media—such as data visualizations and user-interface design elements—affect self-regulated learning and related constructs in adult financial education.

For my dissertation, I plan to use a mixed-methods approach, leveraging AI to conduct qualitative interviews in the initial data collection phase during spring 2025.
